Tax Office Mission Statement
To locate, list, and assess all taxable real and personal property located in Onslow County, and to bill and collect revenue generated by property tax listings and assessments, and collect leased vehicle gross receipt taxes and privilege license taxes in accordance with the N. C. Machinery Act.

Tax Rates
Tax Rates are determined annually during the budget process by the county and municipal governing boards. Property taxes are determined by multiplying the assessed value by the tax rate. If the property is located in a municipality, the county and city tax rates must be added.
